13 FIGURE TEAM PACK

The 2022 World Cup was surrounded in controversy, due to the fact it was being held in Qatar and all the human rights issues surrounding the country.

It came as a surprise to many to see that SoccerStarz were releasing figures from the Qatar national side, there are 13 in total all of which are first time sculpts which i doubt will ever be used again.

 

 

Outside of Qatar the players are certainly not household names or well known stars, however i was personally pleased to see these more obscure players released as it adds depth to the collection as opposed to just a re painted release of an already existing figure.

 

 

The sculpts themselves are of the highest quality, with the sculpt of manager Felix Sanchez Bas being amongst the finest SoccerStarz have sculpted, he looks so miserable and dour.

A 13 figure Qatar team pack was released which sees the figures in Qatar home kit, all figures are on a Gold base, with 1,000 team packs being produced, each one coming with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.

 

 

The full pack like up is manager Felix Sanchez Bas, Abdlekarim Hassan, Boualem Khoukhi, Pedro, Tarek Salman, Bassam Al-Rawi, Hassam Al-Haydos, Ahmed Alaaeldin, Abdulaziz Hatem, Assim Madibo, Al-Moez Ali, Akram Afif and goal keeper Saad El-Sheeb.

 

 

Given how some of the single blister packs were practically sold out due to stock going mostly to Qatar, collectors saw this team pack as an easier way to acquire them all, especially as manager Felix Sanchez was completely sold out as a blister and practically unobtainable outside of Qatar.

 

 

Although not a massive commercial success, i feel this pack has it's place amongst the best packs SoccerStarz have released, it has 13 first and quite probably only time sculpts, from a nation we have never had figures from before and will serve as a reminder of the 2022 World Cup, and of course it has the excellent sculpt of Felix Sanchez Bas!
