FUßBALLSTARS 2020 EDITION

SoccerStarz collaborated with German toy distributor SIMBA to release a rather interesting and innovative product, sold exclusively in Germany.

Fußballstars was a range of 24 figures, with each figure being placed inside a dissolvable ball, so once placed in water the ball would dissolve over a period of time to reveal the figure, the concept being to reduce the amount of packaging used in the product.

 

The 24 figures in the series are Aubameyang for Arsenal, Salah for Liverpool, Manchester City trio of Sane, De Bruyne and Gundogan, with Tottenham's Harry Kane completing the premier league players.

 

French Ligue 1 represented by Mbappe and Neymar for Paris Saint-Germain, with Spain's La Liga contingent coming from Barcelona, Ter Stegen, Griezmann and of course Messi. The Ter Stegen was a variant exclusive to this release, it has the name on his base as TER STEGEN, the other releases had it as just STEGEN.

 

8 players featured from Bayern Munich, Neuer, Kimmich, Muller, Hernandez, Lewandowski, Gnabry, Coman and Goretzka. Borussai Dortmund had 3 in the range, Witsel, Brandt and Sancho. Completing the line up is Cristiano Ronaldo in Protugal Classic Home kit, no range was complete without Ronaldo's inclusion.

 

The balls came inside a CDU, with each ball coming with a series leaflet, all figures were on a Green base. There was a generic ball released along with a Bayern Munich club ball, which was exclusive to the Bayern Munich club shop.
