The 3rd of September 2021 was the release date for the SoccerStarz 2022 Edition Foil Bag, with the product being available in CO-OP stores nationwide, as well as being available from the official SoccerStarz online shop.

​The 2022 Edition Foil Bag contained 36 different figures, including 6 away kit figures which would be exclusive to the 2022 Edition Foil Bag!

We see a trio of Arsenal figures included, which are Thomas Partey, along with the SoccerStarz debuts of Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney, with the figures now in the 'Emirates Fly Better' sponsored kit.

For Chelsea we have Kurt Zouma, Ben Chilwell and the first releases of Hakim Ziyech and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. For Leicester City we of course have Jamie Vardy, he is joined by first time sculpts of defenders Wesley Fofana and James Justin.

 

Liverpool see goalkeeper Alisson released alongside first time sculpts of Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones. The standout release here has to be the Liverpool mascot Mighty Red, this was the very first time SoccerStarz had released a mascot figure, and it is absolutely superb.

 

A duo of new sculpts represent Manchester City, as Ferran Torres and Ruben Diaz join the range. For Tottenham we see Eric Dier and Heung Min Son released with debutant Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. For London rivals West Ham United we have Michail Antonio, manager David Moyes and new release of Tomas Soucek.

 

Luis Suarez for Atletico Madrid is the sole release from Spain's La Liga, while French Ligue 1 sole representative is Kylian Mbappe for PSG.

 

The trio of Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies are in Classic Bayern Munich kit, while Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund have Marco Reus accompanied by the 2 emerging talents of Jude Bellingham and Yousouffa Moukoko.

In Liverpool away kit we have Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara, while in Manchester City away kit we have Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne. All 6 away kit figures were exclusive to the Foil Bag 2022 Edition, making them highly sought after with the most in demand figure being Salah.

One thing to note was that Joshua Kimmich is in Bayern Munich Classic home kit, but with updated squad number, he now wore the number 6 shirt, the previous version had him wearing number 32. Kimmich wearing the number 6 shirt would get a single blister release.

The Foil Bag 2022 Edition was distributed to stores in an 18 piece CDU, with each bag having an RRP of £1.99 Each bag contained one randomly packed SoccerStarz figure and a collector's check list leaflet.
