SoccerStarz released an all new product for the 2022/23 collection, which was the Collector's Launch Pack, with 3 different versions being released, Blue, Green and Red.

Each colour pack contained 8 figures on a Gold base, with the Red pack containing Arsenal duo of Aaron Ramsdale and Emile Smith Rowe, ex Arsenal player Patrick Vieira is released as manager for Crystal Palace. Ryan Bertrand for Leicester City, Harvey Elliott for Liverpool and for Paris Saint-Germain we have Presnel Kimpembe.

For the 2022/23 collection, SoccerStarz took the decision to no longer put names or numbers on the figures, so for referencing purposes I am classifying these kits as 'Blank' to help collectors differentiate between versions.

In addition to the 8 figures on a Gold base, each pack also contained 2 exclusive away kit figures, which was from a choice of 6, all on a Black base and the away figures were not released in any other format.

 

The 6 away kit figures are Bukayo Saka for Arsenal, Chelsea duo of Mason Mount and Reece James, Manchester City pairing of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, with Tottenham Hotspurs Heung Min Son completing the away contingent.

The away kit figures were concealed and randomly packed, meaning you were not aware of the 2 you would receive, however no duplication was guaranteed. Personally feel the product would have benefited from the packs having the away kit figures set per pack, as it would have then allowed collectors to purchase either 3 packs to get the set of 6 or to purchase the pack to obtain the figure or figures they wanted.

 

It also did not aid sales that these 'launch packs' were released after their respective blister packs hit the shelves, so the only real appeal of them was to obtain the 6 away kit figures, however due to how the away kit figures were packed it did deter collectors from purchasing the packs, which had an initial retail price of £29.99

Production was limited to just 1,000 packs of each version, meaning the away kit figures were also limited to just 1,000 of each, however no certificate of authenticity was produced and the packs did not contain any form of collector card, but the pack did come with a game pitch backind card.
